So, I haven't been very active on my blog in a while. Cara and I have been overwhelmed by the wedding plans. We have less than 100 days before the big day! Even though I've been slack with the blog, I hope that you will enjoy the wedding website. Click on the pic. Posted by Picasa

We had an incredible thunderstorm on Tuesday night! I stopped at Mt. Bonnell to take some pictures. This is my favorite. Posted by Picasa

My master's thesis has finally made it into print. And, yes, I would argue that I should be first author, as well, but I lost that battle. Anyway, happy reading!!! Posted by Picasa

Every now and then, you come across a gold nugget when mining the internet. Here's one for the whole family...the DeFrank family! :)
It's a movie so be patient. Posted by Picasa

Thanks, Matt!

I had to rip this off from my friend Matt. This was his Christmas to the East Coast. It really captures that Christmas in Austin feel. Just click on the screen to watch. It's very entertaining. Posted by Picasa

We started to get into the christmas spirit by putting some decorations around the house. We're very excited to be going back to the east coast for christmas! It's hard to get into the christmas spirit when it's 80 degrees.  Posted by Picasa

Maddie got into the decorations, too. Posted by Picasa

Happy Turkey Day!!!

We had Thanksgiving Day dinner at Bonterra. This was an interesting restaurant because it was actually the chef's home which he converted to a restaurant. The food was excellent. We had Oyster Rockfeller soup, turkey with giblet gravy, Andouille and Cornbread stuffing, Creamy mashed potatoes, sweet potato crunch and pumpkin upside down cake! It was all very delicious. If we are in Texas next year, we will definitely try to return to Bonterra. Posted by Picasa

The Barn

We stayed in a little farmhouse called "The Barn" on the Palo Alto ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas. Posted by Picasa

We took a walk down the country road that ran by the ranch. Posted by Picasa

I took this picture through our front window when we returned from our walk. The lamp is made of deer antlers. It was really cool. Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday, Mireya!!!

November 19 was Mireya's birthday. Mireya, Cara, Beth, Chad, Glenn and I went to Copa for a little Salsa dancing. Since this isn't our scene, we spent most of the night just watching the other dancers, but it was a lot of fun. Posted by Picasa
